It will be easier to have amex au card with GT process. no issue or no questions ask sometimes. if you don't have you need ssn i believe to get the us card.

I have 240k Amex points，which can be transfer 1:1 to CX miles. so that means totally enough for business class for two people to Seoul. otherwise can't actually find another way to get to there. if return trip to melbourne i believe it will cost 30k/pp more miles in CX.
