I've had refunds processed to cancelled cards where the bank didn't notify me, but i've always been able to contact them and have the credit balance transferred to a bank account.

They list a 15k min credit limit (as with most black cards) but I was just conditonally approved for a 10k limit after applying for the listed 15k min. A bit odd. not really complaining though as i'd rather the lower limit.

Do you know when the gift cards are sent? From the conditions it seems like you're eligible after 30 days but they could take 2 weeks to send them, or maybe 30 days? Also it doesn't seem clear which products are eligible, is a hospital only or extras only policy ok or do you need to combine them?

To answer my own original question, I went ahead and applied before the 12 months from closing had passed and I've been credited with the bonus points on the first statement.
