I'm in the same boat, but 2 years into my fun Coeliac journey. VA is terrible at accommodating GF options in J. Luckily the situation in the lounger has improved so you can generally eat prior to the flight.

Just nabbed 2x J seats from CPH to SIN for Jun 2023. Availability was pretty good for a huge number of dates (even earlier than June which obviously just got released). Great value at 92k Velocity points each + $30ish in taxes/charges.

I renewed with cash on Jun 22nd and the SCs were only credited on the 26th of July. I’d suggest following up but not until the six weeks have passed as stated in the Terms and Conditions.

For those playing at home, I just received my 50 bonus SC for renewing my Qantas Club membership and have been upgraded to Gold through the Fast Track.

That's how I understand it would work. Typically for Gold status holders your QC membership will be put on hold until you fall back down to silver status. Not sure if you can purchase QC membership while Gold though.

I've given this a crack. The wording in the Terms and Conditions is ambiguous enough to make it unclear. Worst case I still have lounge access until Jun 2022 for $360 so worth a shot. Expiry date on my virtual QFF card updated as soon as payment went through - no sign of the bonus SCs yet.
