No, very unlikely. It seems Amex are enforcing their new 18-months rule of not holding an Amex issued card to be eligible for the bonus. (Except for the DJ card).

It is a promotion to get people shopping in the Melb and Sydney CBD, so yes would need to be bought from the stores listed on the amex vogue offer page. Can't post the link due to post count sorry.

I did last year and intend to again this year. All of the credits came through no problem. There is no way for Amex to tell if you are buying gift cards. There is a risk, but I haven't seen a promotion yet where gift cards have not triggered the credit. I stock up on DJ's, Country Road and...
