Virgin to lose A330's and B777's - become mid range airline - really?

Southwest has a good model for USA but here? Not so sure. There are plenty of options across the range in USA. Chose your seat on boarding etc, pay for everything extra. It's all open & above board but a super budget product

Velocity cuts points, lounge access & upgrades on some partner airlines

I wonder if Branson has an out with the branding. If he doesn't like what it becomes & pulls the pin on name rights it will sink again. If unions aren't happy & pay cuts are made, would we ever see happy smiling faces on boarding?

Velocity cuts points, lounge access & upgrades on some partner airlines

I earned some decent points on Delta but the plan was to spend them with Singapore going to UK. Now all that seems off the cards. I see no point gathering points to spend on a Jetstar clone.

Still collecting FBs because there's nothing else I can do. We only have a Coles within decent distance so FBs we just get FBs. The plan was to get a flight or upgrade with Velocity point going to UK. Velocity as an entity will wind up somewhere so the hope is to either be able to book via the...

    Window shades

While people have different views on this, we had an experience that affected the resulting jet lag. Heathrow to Brisbane a few years ago via Singapore. On take off around 11pm Singapore air (A380) serve a coughtail followed by dinner then insist on shades down and it being a natural sleep time...

Loyalty is a one way affair - goodbye QFF

Three days? Why could they not have put you on a Sydney flight via QF & JQ to Melbourne from there. Seems they didn't try very hard or at all. One reason we avoid coughstar after a poor experience in Sydney many years ago followed a few weeks later by an outstanding effort by Virgin. Experiences...
