    Platinum Reserve Card

Another change for the worse. Glad the Apple Pay image hasn't been updated yet. Interesting Amex AU this time sent an email notifying the card design change, which they've never done before (as far as I can remember, 'cause so many cards have reimaged over the years but I've never received...

All AU Diners Club personal cards will be cancelled in January 2024

Reminds me of the Diners Club card that I hold, a foreign one issued by ICBC. It won't be affected by the change here for sure, but I hardly use it anyway, more for collection purposes as a cardaholic.

    All About Foreign Credit Cards

Just saw the article about Diners Club closing down here Down Under ( https://www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au/diners-club-australia-closing-down/ ). Reminds me of the Diners Club card that I hold, a foreign one issued by ICBC. It won't be affected by the change here for sure, but I hardly use...

    All About Foreign Credit Cards

Last month Wise Australia sent an “Your USD account details are changing” email. Because of the change, I had to manually link the new checking account for my Amex US repayment. Interesting the US Bank is now Community Federal Savings Bank, replacing the previous Evolve Bank and Trust.

    All About Foreign Credit Cards

Yes, used to be a friend's home address in New York in the very beginning and later as she moved home I changed it to a forwarding address. You hardly need to use it anyway, as you can always request replacement cards be shipped to an overseas address. They can even record your non-US address as...

    All About Foreign Credit Cards

As my old Amex Hilton Honors Aspire card expires early next year, it’s about time to request a new card anyway. So I did the other day, and requested a replacement for my Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant card as well (long overdue as the card changed its design over a year ago) . Both arrived today -...

    New Amex statement credits

Yeah, no 4 taps needed at all. Just do as usual to make it easier, i.e., Buy $200 Get $40 back. Tried one card at Myer Melbourne, saw it worked↓ then used all the rests of my eligible cards there (five Amex cards for 2 $500 CGMGCs, doing split payments of $200*5 in one transaction, perfect!)...

Short paid Amex by a few cents. Will Amex charge late fee and interest on full balance if paid the following day?

Even they charge you, you can call them and they will be happy to waive it, especially if it's your first time.

HSBC Platinum Qantas Credit Card Changes: Ouchy

① Yes. ②But being a Premier customer doesn't guarantee the approval of the credit card - you still have to go through the normal application process and meet their credit criteria.

HSBC Star Alliance credit card in Australia

Can I ask what more documents did they require? Went to my local HSBC branch for ID verification earlier today, a bit pissed off by the whole application process TBH.

    All About Foreign Credit Cards

For the flight credit, as the new policy says it's redeemable on "flight purchases made directly with an airline or through amextravel.com using your Card", I reckon it gives much more flexibility as it applies to any airline. My guess is that for us living in Australia, buying Qantas vouchers...

    All About Foreign Credit Cards

It normally happens automatically. It's a bit unusual this time. Last year when the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant card changed its design, the image on Apple Pay was updated almost simultaneously, but not this time. But I'm happy with the old design so actually hope the exisiting image on Apple Pay...
