    Jetstar compliments

I find that row 1 on the 320/321 is better than any on the QF 737 (apart from maybe row 4). Also much cheaper and a reasonable possibility of having an empty seat next to you. I'm flying JQ AKL-SYD shortly, having paid $16 extra for seat 1F and am quite looking forward to it.

    Delhi Airport (DEL) Transit Experinces

Not for me, I'm afraid. I've spent far too much time transiting DEL and other Indian airports, and flying Air India for that to happen again. I'm quite happy to transit the Middle East or Asia. India is off my Christmas card list (and I first went there in 1974). It will never change culturally.

CEO retiring, what changes at Qantas would you like to see

I'd like to see Doug Parker off the board (fat chance). The former head of America West, an LCC (+++). (SMH) "The newest director, Doug Parker (the former head of American Airlines) will be on that ticket, as will Vanessa Hudson." Sounds like the board is promoting Jetstar on stilts...

    Strategies for Finding Affordable Hotels

I find that identifying a suitable hotel on google.maps and then clicking through to agoda does give you a price much cheaper than you can get by going to agoda directly (as you've found with tripadvisor). Not sure why this is, but it definitely works for select hotels (doesn't work for all...

    LHR hotels?

Gee, what's happened to the prices of UK hotels? This thread nudged me into checking a few rates, and they seem to have at least doubled since early 2020. Glad I'm staying here for the time being, where rates have hardly changed.

    Masks rules - Airline Enforcement?

None of my close relations or me have had it either. Wearing masks probably won't protect you very much.

    Masks rules - Airline Enforcement?

Have you considered that you may be one of those people who have natural immunity?

Big taxes into LHR - any way to mitigate?

Also depends on whether you book on the AA website or QF/BA.

Qantas to Remove Domestic Boarding Pass Printing from Kiosks

Absolutely not true! They were there in MEL Intl J lounge (amongst others) in 2019.

Big taxes into LHR - any way to mitigate?

    Perhaps DFW-CDG-LHR would've been better?

Big taxes into LHR - any way to mitigate?

It's just BA. AA would be much less.

QantasLink adds another four more A320s to meet resources demand

Here's a bit more from the article... "The A320 aircraft will be progressively redeployed from Jetstar as that airline receives new Airbus A321LR aircraft. QantasLink received its first A320 in 2018 and these extra aircraft will bring the total number based in WA to 15 by mid-2023. Those...
