IMO the number of points required for J seats now internationally on Qantas is about 4 times what they were pre-pandemic it's outrageous and something should be done about it.
Not been on a flight for a few years, booked QF in J CNS to SYD next month, so what is the booking procedure these days?, and is priority check-in out the window?
Best flight ever for us two oldies, QF SYD to DFW return in J, up in the 747 bubble (used to be F), huge seats, lots of storage, our own catering crew and loo, think it was about 16 hours of pure pleasure.
The good woman and I doing CNS/SYD return in J (points) then 13 day Majestic Princess cruise in December next in a mini suite, it's Sydney to NZ return.
Been using Qantas points for J trips for us two oldies for years long haul, now all but disappeared, sitting on half mil points but nowhere to go. I might try 2 x oneway.
Like many others we stopped long haul flying, going cruising instead. Son as in BKK last few weeks took 3 flights, said baggage handling was quick and through customs too. maybe Qantas should see how it's done properly!.
I sure did. Been using QFF points for decades for 2 in J, mainly long haul, but now the points required have all but doubled, this has opened up a new points world to me so I will take advantage f it. Thanks all.
Flights CNS to SIN return be May 2023, used to go J before pandemic on Qantas long haul, prices in J bit rich and two of us oldies for these flights, might look at Alaska miles when on special then be each around $3000. Does SIN allow offers Y to J at gate?.
While Qantas can open up a few award seats, I'm finding the number of points in J required has near doubled for int. long haul, I think I'll take my business elsewhere after 30 years.
I've had more long-haul Qantas FF award fights than I can remember up until Covid. Points required now in J jacked way up, and finding award flights for two to USA, Asia and Europe, hard to find flights 6/9 months out, Qanats stop treating us like this.
