Apologies, should have clarified, international J with partners. Distinct lack of awards across a lot of airlines both well in advance and closer to the current date. Seeing a bit of UA to SFO in particular (from MEL) but definitely much slimmer pickings than four, five months ago.

Shame J class awards on VA have really, really dried up in recent weeks/months. Maybe it's the school holiday factor (calendar only open to mid-Jan) but it's grim 11 months out...

Hopefully these churner denials aren't negatively impacting peoples' credit scores - it's a selection process, not based on anyone's actual credit...

Wow, seen JL43 is in line for the A35K in coming months - flying in early October, might get a sneaky look at the new J!

Have made a 45 minute connection once with no checked baggage. If you're picking up bags, maybe just bite the bullet on 9am.

JL for mine. Availability already popping up for Oct. 2024. Reliably available at the moment, too. Seeing two seats HND-ORD on Oct. 9 and 11 (flights land 10am same day). Getting from SYD to HND might be a bit tougher, but have a play.

Hmm, so we should be prepared to pay the 189,000 if we want three days, instead of the 159,000 for going 'same day' (itinerary can only be done with an 18-hour overnight stop).

Going to jump on this thread as it seems closest to my query (at least with the last couple of posts). I've locked in one leg of a two-leg itinerary (one way to Europe in J) with a OW partner airline. I called the QF call centre to ask but I'm not convinced by the conviction of the positive...

Terrible attitude - ignoring staff, wilfully knowing you've got too much luggage. Don't know if you think you need a reality check, but here's one for you: you're not that important.
