    Qantas Points Club Discussion

I'm not taking that much time off unfortunately, but I like your thinking!

    Qantas Points Club Discussion

Well I certainly hope that is the case. I have another baby due soon so don't plan on doing too much flying over the next 6 -8 months anyway and I'm kind of preparing for the worst. Still if I can get these 100SC's over the line I should be able to re-qualify with a quick status run ticking...

    Qantas Points Club Discussion

Yeah same with me, I have it in writing and there is no ambiguity which is why I was so confused to then read about others getting SC's rollover. Oh well, back to the phones I guess, I'm pretty sure I'll need all the SC's I can get my hands on to maintain my status for the next year, even with...

    Qantas Points Club Discussion

Reading through this thread I see that some Points Club Plus members who's FF membership anniversary has passed since getting PCP have received the 100 SC Rollover benefit? Can you please confirm? I was awarded Points Club Plus on the day it launched in March, my FF anniversary was at the end...

NAB Qantas Rewards Signature card, 75K bonus points, $395 fee, $4000 spend

Great point, for some reason I completely forgot about this nice little benefit. I've got a NAB Choice loan also and while I didn't think there was much value in this card originally, 75K points for $0 is a no brainer.... I'll get a few things in order and apply in the next week or so. Thanks...

NAB Qantas Rewards Signature card, 75K bonus points, $395 fee, $4000 spend

Offer commences today, is open for applications until 3/9 and includes 0% balance transfer for 6 months Looks like another new card from NAB if I'm not mistaken. It's Visa only and earns 1ppd up to $5K/month. 0.5ppd between $5K-$20K It's a little steep on the annual fee considering it doesn't...

Credit cards you are cancelling post 2017 changes

I cancelled my Westpac Black yesterday. Although I tend not to hang on to cards long term - I don't often trouble the points cap and my main driver in cancelling is to reset any waiting periods for future offers anyway so the points reduction was an excuse as much as anything else.

    Qantas Premier Credit Card

I must be on Maquarie's naughty list as they will not approve me for any credit card they issue full stop! I recall this going on for that last 2-3 years (although I don't remember ever having one of their cards) and I've simply given up on them. The most recent attempt was a couple of months...

    Qantas Premier Credit Card

Well since the section for CC promotions I'm happy to discuss it here..... I've applied for it, but am still awaiting approval. 60K points for $149 is a pretty good deal in my book. Much better than the St George offer at the moment and I'm in purgatory for the ANZ Black for a few more months...

To quit Amex or not to quit - that is the question

Cancelled my Amex QF Ultimate yesterday, now the long wait begins.... They did try to keep me with an offer of 8K QFF points to keep the account open. But in my mind I just kept thinking of the 18 months wait and wanted to get it started ASAP. I guess I could've taken it, then tried to cancel...

QANTAS to launch their own credit card in tie-up with Citibank

Complimentary Travel Insurance cover is provided by Chubb, some people who do Amex's Travel insurance I believe.

100,000 qantas or altitude points bonus with new westpac black card

Well looks like I managed to sneak into this 100K promo and it's paid off. I applied in the very last couple of days of the offer and the points hit yesterday after 2 statement cycles. Additionally I found a message on my latest statement with regards to the reduction in points earn that I...

AMEX Velocity Platinum: 100,000 bonus; increased earn rate of 1.5 ppd; ends 31 July

Re: AMEX Velocity Platinum: 100,000 bonus; increased earn rate of 1.5 ppd; ends 31 Ju Yes I had heard there was a change in Jan that affected some people but haven't really stayed across it. I did get the Explorer and then the QF Ultimate in early Jan receiving the bonus' on both. Sounds like...

AMEX Velocity Platinum: 100,000 bonus; increased earn rate of 1.5 ppd; ends 31 July

Re: AMEX Velocity Platinum: 100,000 bonus; increased earn rate of 1.5 ppd; ends 31 Ju I'm super keen to hear other peoples experience getting the bonus points on this one. I closed an AMEX Velocity Platinum at the end of Jan 2016, so I'll only be able to apply right at the end of the offer...

    What card next

If you're interested in Qantas points then the ANZ Frequent Flyer Black card is one of the better options out there at the moment. 75K points and no annual fee in the first year.

The Explorer Credit Card (New AMEX Card!)

Completely agree. I was actually quite surprised, I didn't ask for it, but rather was offered it by the CSR. I was even surprised that she offered the full refund given I had the card for almost 3 months regardless of the benefits I'd used during this time. Still once I received this you could...

The Explorer Credit Card (New AMEX Card!)

I had an Explorer card from Oct through until late Dec when I cancelled it. I was offered and received a full refund of the Annual Fee even though I recieved the bonus points and used the travel credit. My partner also had this card from Oct and cancelled it today having also used its full...

As a kid, I dreamed of flying this as the ultimate indulgence

Well I always wanted to become a pilot myself as a kid and while I have had a few lessons over the years I never did quite do a solo flight. I was also lucky enough to visit the coughpit of a QF 747 one day on the way to HNL as a 17 year old which was really cool and something that I remember...

One PAX no show for non-refundable flight

Just a quick update on this topic and hopefully something that others may find useful in the future.... I rang Jetstar and they were able to split my partners flight onto a seperate itinerary. I was then able to change the date of her flight until later in the year, in the case that we take...

    FF programs outstide OZ

I don't fly enough to gain a real benefit from crediting flights foreign carriers programs, I'm more focused on accumulating miles in other ways to get reward flights. Having said that I joined US Airways Dividend Miles a couple of years ago after they moved to oneworld but before they merged...
