If you think you'll easily achieve Gold with Royal Orchid Plus, it'd be the way to go, otherwise go Asiana as jase05 mentioned as you have 2 years to qualify. The only big difference would be that you'd get a free upgrade once per year with Royal Orchid Plus Gold.

Do you qualify for a free hotel for your transit? I guess you could do the free city tour if you get bored too. Also, QR does not allow short checking, so your luggage will go all the way to the final destination.

Ohhh, I thought it was a BOQ card. (I do notice that Virgin cards are BOQ issued). Still have another 6 months til I can reapply for Virgin cards :)
