I got the points on the date of first statement which was a few days (plus a month) after the approval.

I should clarify... I was talking about the Amex lounge passes 2 posts above. The qantas lounge passes are as stated above, but you need to spend with qantas using the card to enable them. I think the Amex lounge passes come without any spend to activate them.

I've not used them, but I was on the phone with Amex last week and they said they were attached to the card.

I got my points around the close of the first month when the the first bill came. It was very quick. Ended up getting over 100k points in my QFF account within a month of getting the card. Very impressed.
