But classic reward seats are marketed by the operating airline.
Also for revenue seats, where they are available, booking with the QF flight number may cost more than booking directly with the operating airline.
But there used to be two flights to LHR on QF A380. QF1 is just one A380. There’s still significantly less capacity to LHR than there used to be on QF but demand for classic rewards, upgrades etc. has probably gone up.
Two A380s to SIN doesn’t solve capacity for the next leg on to LHR
If PER...
Some of us in Melbourne still miss QF9/10 on the A380. I still want QF to bring back those flights to bring back capacity to LHR to what it used to be, but I don’t expect that to happen.
If the PER flights have to stop in SIN that takes away any advantage to flying via PER from outside WA.
I was just thinking have I missed a dump of seats again?
I only want to use my points for J/F return classic rewards to LHR or upgrades on those routes.
Selected my last T-80 row 4 for my flight back.
I was reminded by a text telling me it was time to check-in for the outbound before checkin even opened.
Maybe QF forgot to adjust the checkin reminders for the end of daylight savings.
Was this part of an itinerary also involving QF marketed and operated flights? If not, it seems off topic as EK operated flights do not qualify for QF DSCs.
They are more likely to change things to require more spend per SC going forward than to increase the number of LTSC needed to earn LTG.
I am still years away from LTG on my current flying trends.
If you do pay extra for row 4 and then get moved due to operational reasons to a different flight and don’t get put in row 4 it’ll then be another refund to apply for causing more inconvenience.
Row 4 at T-80 was one of the main benefits of SG/WP when flying domestically. I’ll miss that extra leg room, but don’t see the point in paying for that for a short flight.
Wasn’t there a big release a while back of seats? I remember finding out about it a few hours after the email was sent and it was already too late to find the J/F seats that I wanted.
