Hi All, New QF flyer here, changed jobs which came with the requirement to move away from VFF. I have a BNE>SYD>DFW>BNA>DFW>SYD>BNE itinerary booked in Flex Y - Departing Oz 1 Apr, Departing USA 5 Apr. I don't have any kind of points balance, as I'm too new. I am prepared to make some cash...

I also have booked SQ F on Velocity points - unfortunately got cancelled due COVID. You do need to book via the call centre, and they only book into 'saver' class awards availability when looking via KF.

I just checked all of the dates they mentioned, all showing up as advantage awards to me....

My personal preference is to book revenue economy fares to NZ, stay overnight in Auckland and then catch the points J class fare to Honolulu.

Can't be done on points booking, as HA and VA are on different award charts, and you can't mix charts on the same booking.

Hi All, I've had to book a last minute flight, which means it's on flexi, but booked today (Saturday) flying tomorrow (Sunday). Can I use my upgrade certificate via the flight booking call centre which is open on the weekends, or am I stuck?

Your best bet is to the use the AAdvantage booking system to check for reward seat availability. They are a non-alliance partner of HA and in theory (according to many accounts) have the same access to award inventory as Velocity.
