Error with Velocity Web Site - can't access to book flights.

If it persists, try using the small font Book command (top left screen on menu), rather than the big red Book Flight button.

Flying VA codeshare with Singapore Airline

Thanks masterpabu. I booked the seats thru Virgin web site, was able to immediately access SQ web site to select seats, no drama! Couldn't access page to add passport details etc, though, no biggie, will have to do at airport.

    Seat selection with Skoot

I'm looking at making a booking woth Singapore Airlines that will have to include two sectors with Skoot. If I book direct on the Singapore Airlines web site, does anybody know if I will at the time be able to make seat selection for the Skoot sectors, or if not, how to do this? Thanks.

The Velocity Status Run Master thread

Nothing ain't cheap no more, but for four sectors in a day you could try this. You won't get much change out of $900 though. BNE-HBA: 07:05 to 12:30 BNE-SYD VA 916, SYD-HBA VA1530 HBA-BNE: 15:35 to 18:50 HBA-MEL VA1327, MEL-BNE VA343 And you'll need at least three hours to explore Hobart...

Link Airways / Virgin Australia expand NSW regional partnership.

Is it possible to include VA and Link flights on a single booking, does anybody know: eg, to book HBA to Coffs on a single booking - virgin first flight, link second? I've tried but can't get it to happen. PS. Yes it is! Just managed one.

Booked Flight and car through virgin - Car not provided

I agree. Always book flights direct with the airline, accommodation direct with hotel, cars direct woth the hire company and tours with the tour company. Maybe a bit more of an effort but gives you more control and flexibility.

Flying VA codeshare with Singapore Airline

I've searched in this forum and elsewhere and found contradictory stories, so would appreciate any actual experiemces that you can share. I'm looking at booking Singapore Airline flights via the Virgin website, flights with VA codes. If it is relevant, they will be J, cash or points. My...

Pets in the Cabin - Coming soon on Virgin Australia

It is a national standard that dogs (in or out of baskets) are not allowed where food is prepared and/or eaten - no if, no buts, except for service dogs. Hopefully Health and Safetyor someone else will pursue Virgin over this

Pets in the Cabin - Coming soon on Virgin Australia

Totally agree 100% I have a deep rooted dog phobia. If Virgin really do go ahead with this I will be racing back to Qantas with my tail between my legs. Pun intended.

Singapore Airlines A350 Premium Economy ... best seats?

Thanks ... I'm assuming then that bulkhead row isn't blocked out for high status Kris Flyers?

Singapore Airlines A350 Premium Economy ... best seats?

Good point, thx. I'm leaning towards the back row of the cabin, to avoid the knees in back or coughing/yakking loudmouths behind me syndrome.

Singapore Airlines A350 Premium Economy ... best seats?

Ha ha, thanks. One thing I've learnt over the years is to NEVER fly without earplugs. Good ones!

Singapore Airlines A350 Premium Economy ... best seats?

I'd very much welcome any comments and experiences based on people flying as a couple in Air Singapore premium exonomy, A350 or Boeing 777-300. We'll be going retrurn Melbourne to Singapore. I'm assuming in either case A&C or H&K would be preferred to D,E,F,G, but beyond that ... as far as I...

Yet another question about Velocity status credits and Review Date

Apologies in advance but I am still struggling to get my head around Virgin's rotating review date policy. I've looked up articles on various web sites but am still confused. My partner's review date is in June. He expects to be Gold by August. Is his review date then reset? Does he then need...

Another question about Family Pooling ....

Looks like you've got it nailed! Except for the Scoot flights! Did no-one warn you that Scoot falls within the definition of "cruel and unusual punishment." 😉

Another question about Family Pooling ....

John - If it helps, I keep a spreadsheet of all our bookings, SCs and sectors, with various permutations of how we can implement family pooling to get the best outcome. It might sound like overkill, but it really helps. It's enabled us over the last couple of years to "thread the needle" for...
