The Virgin Australia Newbie Questions Thread

Domestically I always book separate flights for this exact reason. Unlike international flights where a return is usually less than 2 x one ways why would you book a return for domestic flights?

Booking Velocity Reward Seats for Xmas Period

I recently cancelled a flight and they took the 7500 points and refunded the full amount of the taxes. I would have preferred to pay the $60 but did not see an option to choose. How did you choose $60?

Seats.aero - a useful tool for finding Qantas & Velocity reward availability

Just got an alert for a watched flight Muc-Sin 2x J SQ in July using velocity points, seems to be flights available on multiple days. Booked and then cancelled Lhr-Sin which were all I could get a couple of months ago. Very happy. Also saves over $700 in fees. Well worth the annual fee.

Since NRMA purchased Thrifty then changed to Sixt that is all I ever use. Never had a problem. I assume that if there ever is an issue, being an NRMA member will help. Last year Sixt had no availability at BNE and I used Europcar, they tried on an excessive windscreen claim, when I asked for a...
