Unfortunately they have not responded at all. I guess i will wait a few more days and see if anyone responds. tbh, I would like to just get a full refund of points and taxes and leave it be, but i think the principle of the matter needs to be hammered home.

Twitter/X is getting infuriating. A different agent every response and not able to answer simple questions. I've only been able to obtain a slither of information about taxes not being paid successfully (except they have!, my CC was charged months ago) for the reason for flights dropping off...

I really feel your pain. As someone kindly suggested above, Twitter/X might be an option. At least you can lay out exactly what has happened. Although my current mess still isnt sorted, they're at least replying to my messages - more than i can say about my emails. Good luck!

unfortunately no reply yet. Interestingly the guys at twitter/X got back to me, but were only as helpful telling me that "your flight seems to have dropped off the itinerary" and that.. "now there are no award flights left". Now they've gone silent, perhaps placed in the 'too hard' basket...

So it seems i'm the latest victim. due to a 'technical glitch' the 'system' automatically cancelled my flight for an unknown reason. So it seems whatever issues Qantas is having, they're still not resolved. Of course now getting anything to anywhere during Christmas is super difficult...

Gosh I had made a booking roughly a year a ago on EK via Qantas and seats were still somewhat plentiful. As someone who mentioned previously, I do hope this is JUST a case of a perfect storm. In the past a trip to Europe would have at least a few carriers, notably CX, MU, EK, BA available...
