If you go for option 3 (award booking), I'd recommend having a look at CX. You'll save a ton in fees (close to $1000 one way for 2 pax in J). I can see availability BNE-HKG-LHR on 8/5 but not much the following week. Coming back, avoid LHR. Do some overlands/short-hauls and leave from Europe...

I'm pretty sure it's a "free night certificate", meaning it can be used at any IHG hotel for a standard room booking. Intercontinental Park Lane, perhaps?

I got the same but with $80 spend. Trying to work out if my EDR offer plus using gift cards makes that one better or this one...

Thanks all. Yeah, 500k is not bad but it doesn't go very far transporting a family of 3+1. Especially if you want J. I probably would have been better starting off in Krisflyer or some other program. And there's no way I'll be redeeming for toasters/gift cards :)
