Finally cracked a 16 Sharktooth and it is a strange McLaren Shiraz. Medium bodied to the extreme but maintaining a whopping 14.5% alcohol. If you have a palate attuned to fruit forward wines you probably only taste alcohol. I wonder if this was picked green. I think the oak is well handled, not...

My 2017s are under screwcap and are excellent. I was underwhelmed by the 2020 that I thought was rather one dimensional.

Cork from the cleanskin signature. Looks poor quality, hard to see this cellaring for the long term. The wine was fine though, restrained and well balanced as you'd expect.

Just had the Reschke Bos 07. Well down the tertiary path. Prune, leather with perfumed oak on a medium body, fine dusty tannin and a decent length. Really enjoyed the 06, hard to tell these apart, both fantastic wines cork willing and both from average vintages. I've also ordered some 09 from WC...
