It does appear that it will let you renew well in advance too - my membership was only renewed two weeks ago and it's still happy to let me renew for a year or more now.

Just received an email informing me that Qantas Club is going up in price: Looks like the current fees are going up by about $60/year. Good time to lock in membership if you can renew early, that AFF corporate scheme will get you a pretty decent discount.

As an aside, New Zealand allows you to apply for a citizen endorsement to be added to a foreign passport, which allows you to enter NZ with a non-NZ passport. Costs about $180.
