Was told that did not apply by the rep who checked the terms and could not see it there..

Spoke on phone to rep, was told the same again. Was also told that there's nothing preventing me cancelling my account and signing up again, and I will be eligible for bonus points if I do so...no refund on existing membership already paid..urgh..

Told no deal for existing members, as expected.

Might give them a call tomorrow to see how much wiggle room there is..Assume it's fairly fixed.

Any thoughts/confirmation on if a sign up with an existing QANTAS PREMIER PLATINUM would still allow the bonus points? I'd take a 1 year hit if it comes with the points, else, expensive exercise...

Yup, called up and was told the same. No Platinum Edge as an Companion Card for Platinum Charge still, only Reserve.

I see the option too. Applying now. This was the supp card I was after. Which I ended up applying for directly (and getting). Now to save a few $$ :)

Texted around 5pm about it. Called QF back around 630pm and at the same time called carlson wagonlit who it was booked through. CWT answered first, told me to ignore it as I was being upgraded is all (GRR). Missed a follow up call from QF @ 10pm. Joined the queue for a call back around 1030pm...

I logged a support request on it last week. The rep said 'yes, it's a real problem, i'll send to tech support and get back to you in a week or so'.

called again, they were like yeah give it a month the post system is busy at this time of year. Oh and by the way, it's Platinum Reserve not Edge. I spoke to the same lady as last time, and she even could see last time she told me edge, but now told me she meant Reserve and got confused herself...

I've called twice now for the Plat Edge card, both times told no worries, a form's in the mail, it'll take 7 biz days. Today's 7 biz days after the second call, nothing...will call again tomorrow night..
