I agree with you Daver6. We stayed recently at the Sofitels in NY, Chicago and DC. Upgraded to suites in Chicago and DC, which was nice, but not as worthwhile as a Lounge or free breakfast. The expensive room rates helped me to retain Platinum for next year. I suppose that’s a benefit?
