Similar thing has happened to me. I have a OWA for 2 people. Mid Sept I booked the return flights and got ticketed and a day later I noticed that the first flight on the OWA had dropped off the booking. I got onto a very helpful assistant who reinstated the first flight and re-ticketed on...

Hi Paul. Yes, points will be calculated as standard rewards flights. However, once you satisfy the OWA requirement for two One Wold airlines other than Qantas, your points required will cap out at 318k for business flights. This cap will continue as long as you meet the OWA Rules for total...

CC applications - have they got more onerous?

I applied for a Qantas cc two months ago and was knocked back, despite a spotless credit record, minimal debt and a very good income. I suspect it was because I disclosed that I was planning to retire in the next few months. My income will remain high and I have plenty of evidence of this, but...

You will need sufficient points for each booking you make. If you start with the first few flights and add others as they become available, you probably won't need the 140k initially, but will once the number of flights booked has reached the 140k points cap. Note that you will need extra...

No, no, no. Separate bookings can't be merged. Each time you want to add to your original booking you must contact Qantas and ask to make a change to your booking. As you make the changes the points will max out at 280k, provided you keep within the One world classic rewards rules.

You're quite right, but there are no direct flights MLA-CFU so the most direct route would still have required a transfer in Athens. Some hassle, but we'll still enjoy a night in London.

Thanks. That's great. I didn't want it to be a stopover as I want to spend a couple of days in Singapore.

Can you elaborate on this a little please Kangol. I'm planning a 280k with 3 trips. DPS-Europe-SYD June-July 2020; SYD-Asia-BNE or MEL April 2021 and finishing SYD-BME May 2021. Are you saying that I will keep the points cost to 280k + change fees but I would have to book specific flights...

In Chrome I click the browser back button rather than the web page "modify search" or "back " buttons. I then see a "Confirm Form Resubmission" page. I click the browser refresh button, confirm and get the " Search Travel Class' page again, but with all classes of travel still selected. Still...

Hi all, I had a very successful 280k trip for 2 in 2016. I want to do another in June 2020 and trying to get back up to speed on this. A tentative plan is: SYD-NRT-CTS; CTS-HEL; HEL-CFU; CFU-MAD-CMN; RAK-LHR; MXP-HKG-SYD As far as HEL seems ok but HEL-CFU seems a problem. Finnair have a...

    Selecting best window seats

I love a window seat, but hate it when I find myself with the structure between the windows directly in my view. I want to be able to avoid these seats and select the seats that best align with the windows. Seat Guru offers nothing for this. Is there any other tool that helps with this? I...

Qantas seems to have announced my death!

As a lifetime Qantas Club member since the 90s, I got a bit of a shock when I logged into my account recently and saw the message:- "Qantas Club Member. Your membership expires Wednesday 18 September 2047" Does Qantas know something that I don't? My wife is an associate life member and I also...

    HNL connection to Kona

Hi all. I've booked SYD-HNL on QF 3 in J for next May. This is due to arrive 0920. I'm going to book an Hawaiian Airlines connecting flight to Kona separately. 1221 departure looks suitable but any advice if 3 hours is enough to clear immigration in HNL and check in for the KOA flight?

QF J Award Availability on QR (Qatar)

I've no experience booking AY flights. Another option might be MH? I'd be asking the Qantas assistant about those.
