Changes to NAB Rewards Signature card: No forex fees + earn rate changes

No bank does exchange rate conversion on credit cards. VISA and MC do the conversions. The only difference is the fee australian banks add on, ranging from 0% to 3.4%, and is a seperate line charge on your statement. It has always been that way, except before about year 2000, the fee was...

ANZ Platinum card- trying to understand Car rental insurance coverage

"rental car agreement" If the insurer has any definitions to read in that section, look them up. The insurer cant mention every car rental company. I would expect that it comes down to whether you are renting a car or not. How the rental provider sources the car should be irrelevant.

    Unexpected Gesture from Cabin Crew

flying on Virgin today (7 march) from OOL>SYD on VA528, and i was on the receiving end of the nicest gesture from an airline - ever. Hey, its only a small one but still, she won a heart today. On boarding the senior hostie was serving her business class customers with a glass of wine, and she...

Article: CommBank Awards Isn’t Ideal for Frequent Flyers

I find it hard to beleive that Paying a large Annual fee gives you a greater net benefit, but I am sure you did the due diligence. I have 2 general rule of thumb: (1) spend 10K to earn $100 points value. Therefore a $400 annual fee means $40k spend to just break even.b and most cards have...

    Amex Rejection earning $300k

This is very true also. I recall a time NAB wanted to attract young university graduates to get credit cards, as they perceived these would be high value customers in the future. In the marketing briefing they said that those that fit this profile would be assessed more favourably by the auto...

    Amex Rejection earning $300k

its not dumb. Credit cards is a mass scale business. They work in %'s and big data If they really wanted only quality applicants, they would get a senior manager to personally interview each one. but that would mean higher acquisition costs and so few clients (due to the time that takes).

    Amex Rejection earning $300k

theres other facts you didnt mention, every piece of data you recorded on the application is a fact that they consider. My experience is that AMEX give away credit cards like theres no tomorrow, so the financial data alone, like income and loan repayments is not the only thing they consider...

Who else still holds the Citibank Free For Life Premier Card?

Is Citi Plus still the best option for overseas cash?

If the product says there are no overseas transaction fees, then there isnt any. Its that simple. I have used Citi, NAB, MQ, ING, Wise and something else. There was nothing special or different about any of them. (of course ING is now a dud) there is no customer service needed for a simple...
