I agree. I have seen J pax struggle to find space in an overhead locker on a 737, particulary as the lifeboat is now in that space.

A good source of soap bars used to be hotels, but most are now using liquid detergent, which is what it really is. I just use soap for shaving.

You are correct if London is your primary departure point, as once upon a time it was for me, but if you have connecting flights and need to negotiate the terminals, it can be challenging.

I was talking about a few years ago. The QR code system in the lounge looks fairly new.

I did mean no QR. But how does that work now? I recall that during Covid some Melbourne restaurants used a QR code to link to a menu from which you ordered, so limited staff contact.
