Hi All Flying with CX from MEL to HKG 0.50 am. Whats the latest time I can pass through Immigration ? Meeting some friends arriving on Emirates at 10pm and wanted to catch up with them before I depart .

Used hiking poles last month on our trek to Everest Base Camp - great support for those steep ups and downs , especially the rocky steps . They were my "crutch" for want of a better way of saying it !

Quite a few years ago, a rough landing in SYD on a then TAA A300 (?) from BNE , overhead lockers opened and oxygen masks came down ! A couple of aborted landings in CNS due to severe weather.

Sad that a beloved pet died, but surely commonsense would prevail and as a passenger transporting an animal ,why would you not check it in as baggage in the hold and retrieve it at your destination!

I use a Caltex Starcard - none of the service stations I use permit me to use Myer/ Woolworth etc cards whilst using my Starcard.

With Qantas announcing several new routes that may open up with the arrival of their 787 aircraft - how does an airline go about preparing for these flights e.g proving flight. Is this done using an actual aircraft with real crew / weight to simulate passengers and baggage / when to serve meals...

Thanks MEL_Traveller , the connection times in DRW are crazy when coming in on MH ,then have to wait until 8pm that evening for a direct flight to CNS .

The plan is we fly JQ from CNS direct to DPS ,overnight there and then MH to KUL, then do the same on the return . Another question springs to mind , rather than overnight on the way back , is it possible to transit DPS without having to pass through immigration and collect bags etc , wait in...

Have passed through BNE International several times in the last 6 months - it is abysmal . Security staff yelling and shouting at passengers , short staffed immigration counters and security checkpoints. Have decided to bypass BNE and go via SYD or MEL for all future international flights...
