Re: Virgin Australia moving to Full Service? Didn't one of their FAs get the boot for misappropriating a pocket-full of chocolate-coated macadamias from the F galley a few years ago?

The rise of the Bogan traveller

And these are excuses for appalling behaviour? No. The more we fly private, the less we ever want to go near a public terminal - even a first class terminal - ever again.

What would you do? PA booking error

For 5000 points, I think it's a little rich to be talking about sacking her, especially if she is a notorious dimwit AND she was entrusted with... LOL... The PIN of the account! I mean, C'MON!!!! That was a poor decision that has backfired. I would not divulge such details to my...

The rise of the Bogan traveller

I gave up projecting that image long-ago. Why try to force yourself to be something you're not? Being evil is much, much more satisfying.

    Royal Brunei to axe PER/BNE/AKL/SGN/KCH

Some of us never take alcohol in airport lounges or inflight, although we are well-aware that we are considered freaks by the majority on this board ;).

Ok! Fess Up, is it You. QF extra lounge benefits!

This will last until there is evidence of nicotine vapor from the devices being inhaled by those near the "smoker". As a former consumer of 25-35 B&H Special Filters a day, I suggest that smokers need to grow a pair and just give it up. If I can stop smoking - I declared on many occasions that...

Lounge etiquette and it's non existence from airlines most frequent flyers....

What's tragic is that they are so frequently very ordinary suits bought off the rack. Not cool. A $150 tie cannot make a $1000 suit look good. And don't get me started on the shoes...

    Park Hyatt Canberra

Yes, they do, but one must remember that it is Canberra. I recommend an exchange program with PH Tokyo to improve standards in Canberra, but heaven only knows what might happen to standards in Shinjuku!

Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

I'm informed that he's a minor celebrity on a moderately successful show on a moderately successful Australia network, i.e. in the real world, a nobody.

Intelligent Booking System - Needed Please

Maybe enter proposed itineraries into iCal prior to booking and see if there is a conflict? Or hire a Butler. Both options work.

Why the hell would I pay for Centurion Card?

Anyone who realises that it looks and feels cool, and costs less than a bottle of DRC at Per Se. I guess it's all relative.

New LAG scanning technology - EU to lift ban on LAGs over 100 mL

Yes, apart from Beefeater, which is possibly the most objectionable concoction to ever have the word "Gin" printed on the label. I'm having a wild affair with Navy Strength Plymouth at the moment, but I always go back to the reliable green bottle.

    The Unloved WP Thread

Well, there aren't that many of you, and ya'll do whinge a hell of a lot. Even the term WP implies that! And now that there is Platinum One (may I suggest SP, "smug platinum"?), well... It might be time to see if you can wring some good lovin' out of Virgin!

Re: Karl Stef G*ld logie winner I haven't had to test the four-hour promise yet, but they did deliver with 16 hours notice a few weeks ago, and we got to ZRH with nary a Logie-winner in sight for the entire trip.
