Qantas rolls out Classic Plus Flight Rewards

I am one of these WP/LTG whales, and am largely restricted to leisure travel during school holidays, travelling on set days, and being unable to plan much more than a few months in advance. I have over 2m QFF points unable to be redeemed because of these limitations. I stopped accumulating to...

QFF Bonus Status Credits/Points gift on back of Aug 2023 profit

Provided all the 480 SCs are QF/JQ flights, that should qualify for the bonus, and it would count to gold. Depends on whether you are looking to gain (700) or retain (600).

QFF Bonus Status Credits/Points gift on back of Aug 2023 profit

Only if you had it updated to the latest version.

QFF Bonus Status Credits/Points gift on back of Aug 2023 profit

This 'gift' is likely to be the last of the status support, albeit unofficial. Short of a new pandemic.

QFF Bonus Status Credits/Points gift on back of Aug 2023 profit

So is there any reason this could have been pushed to the app without a forced update? No new permissions are asked for, but wondering if QF added any new 'features' to the app that mean they need to give a carrot to users to update?

    Qantas MEL-HKG QF29/30 Delayed; A380 for SYD-HKG route

I stand corrected. Although the issue with the temporary availability of the A380 stands.

    Qantas MEL-HKG QF29/30 Delayed; A380 for SYD-HKG route

They've never sold QF127/8 as F in the A380 era, even in the days of the 747 with the old F cabin on this route. As you say, its all about capacity, and an extra 14 seats that can be sold as J reserved for WP and P1s is a bonus, in addition to the 64 business seats (vs 28 for the A330) is the...

    Qantas MEL-HKG QF29/30 Delayed; A380 for SYD-HKG route

Looks like A380 running on weekdays and A330 on weekends. I have a weekend departure coming up, so very pleased to not be 'downgraded' to a 2x2x2 skybed.

Qantas doesn't care about priority boarding

Much better on the return leg ex-MEL. Well done to the crew on QF486. n

Qantas doesn't care about priority boarding

Dog's breakfast coming out of Syd to Mel on first flight out. PB called, both lines merged, with no enforcement, no care. We'll see what return is like this evening. TBH, Virgin doesn't materially better QF in many areas, but PB is one where they consistently do.

Qantas doesn't care about priority boarding

Sydney <-> Adelaide today. Both full flights. Sydney - Announced, but not screened or enforced. Adelaide - done the way it should be. Announced, screened, regular queue paused when the PB queue got longer (> 5 pax), and kept being paused along the way.

Qantas doesn't care about priority boarding

Consistently inconsistent. PB announced and enforced for a Dash-8 from Hervey Bay tonight, but nothing from Brisbane for a 737!

Qantas doesn't care about priority boarding

VA aren't perfect, but my experience has been 90% of time, PB is enforced and enforced well. Much less for QF.

Qantas apologises to frequent flyers with status extensions, lounge passes, points & more reward seats

Same here. Only the $50 voucher to offset the increase in airfares.

Qantas doesn't care about priority boarding

PB well enforced and operating as intended at both ends SYD-AKL and return the last 2 days. Well done to the trans-Tasman crew on both ends.

Qantas apologises to frequent flyers with status extensions, lounge passes, points & more reward seats

WP, and all I have gotten is the $50 voucher. No extra points. Just a "since you've already made a booking, you will retain your status until your <end date>." Couldn't book any of the extra seats in J as I am condemned to personal travel during east coast school holidays. Not happy, but also...

Qantas apologises to frequent flyers with status extensions, lounge passes, points & more reward seats

In addition to status extension, temporarily reduced qualifying thresholds from actually flying for the next level of status would get my attention. As a WP, I'd likely be lured by the possibility of P1 at say 2400 SCs, and I bet Golds would be prepared to pay extra to score WP with 950 SCs...

Status points on stays paid with points?

Feeding back, the night counts as a stay for the purposes of nights qualification, but nothing on the spend, which is fair enough.

Qantas doesn't care about priority boarding

Four flights the last two days, no attempt at Sydney, Canberra, or Brisbane, and a half hearted attempt at Melbourne (i.e. announced but mindlessly waved through). All 717 or 737 flights out of the main terminal.
