I agree with you regarding the wasting of the loyalty bonus for next years requal, so i have redeemed it and now have 1230 SC's. I just hope they look kindly on me for a status comp next year.

I hope they think highly of me again next year as i am pretty sure i wont get the SC's to re-qualify for QP. I bit the bullet and used my current loyalty bonus to get me to 1230 this year. This would mean that i have meet the requal level for 14 years straight.

I just tried to redeem the loyalty bonus and found the same issue. I will take your advice and try and use the chat function to get the 50 SC credited.

Thanks for the heads up on loyalty bonus issue, i wasn't aware of this and would have left it to the last minute to try and redeem which may have been a problem in my circumstance.

Re: BNE - LAX J seat selection 14 J and K upstairs are great. They are set a bit further back than the A , B seats so have a bit better window view and easier access to the side locker. The jump seats are in front but this is not a problem in flight and you can have a chat with the cabin crew...

14 K upstairs is my favorite on the new configuration. Easy to get in and out of and you have the side bin and more windows than the A seat.

This is the new config. Row 5 is lower deck exit row and Row 14 is upper deck exit row. I am a fan of the 747 upper deck so I would go 15AB and 16JK. The kids might be better off in 16JK as the crew rest seats are opposite.

I think that there is now only one 747 config and they are all the upgraded layout. I had 14 A back from Dallas and this was the upper deck exit row.
