VA only ever open check in 90mins before departure in CNS. Not sure why but it is rather annoying.

You only get one rather restrictive lounge pass. Which IMHO isn't worth it unless you are aiming for gold.

I'm pretty sure VA don't cater to special dietary requirements on domestic and short haul flights. Not that I have any but I have heard a lot of people complain about it.
