maybe, but I already have more than enough QF points and AirNZ points to go anywhere (assuming availability) so i might as well get another option for when oneworld and star don't suit or have availability

it all depends on what you are looking for. Not much use earning thousands of QF points when you can't use them when you want. Having some Velocity points at least gives the option of virgin, emirates and virgin atlantic. Also apparently no annual cap on the velocity visa.

the letter is very brief and the ideas outlined above would work according to the letter. But i haven't been trying to confirm with the call centre and on email. Still waiting for a response.
This is the quote form the Citibank site on their cashback card
Citibank Cash Back®
Every time...
suggest anyone trying to take advantage of the cashback offer be careful. On the Citibank website they have details of a different (but maybe the same) cashback offer on their credit cards. The amount of the cash back is based on the balance outstanding at the end of the month.
Westpac migrated most 'buisness' altitude customers (ie anyone that spends big dollars) onto a different card earlier this year. I expect that capping/extra fees is only a matter of time.

thanks
thanks Sheriff and one9. I tried to look at ezy but their website appears to be down. I'll check tomorrow. But i think one9 is right in that it too will soon be capped.
