China Airlines reward seats using Qantas points

Second thought if the answer is yes - can I move the first leg past the ex-ROR flight once ticketed?

China Airlines reward seats using Qantas points

That’s good information, thanks. Would I actually have to travel on the first leg for the second leg not to get cancelled?

China Airlines reward seats using Qantas points

I want to book a redemption flight from ROR to TPE. The problem is, I can't select ROR as a departure airport. I can see plenty of availability for my dates by searching a TPE-ROR return, but when I call QF they can't even seem to find the flights, let alone availability. Tried a few different...

Name change on Qantas classic reward ticket

@madrooster is it as straight forward for an international QF only itinerary?

United Airlines new Virgin Australia/Velocity Partner

Has anyone successfully booked a reward by calling VA for city pairs that are not available on the VA website? For example LAX-ANC or the like?

Amex "I'm going to cancel my card" - bonus points given thread.

Another data point (Explorer Card - about $100k a year) - Called to cancel, asked for retention points, as expected was told they weren't allowed to offer any. Specifically mentioned the Krisflyer devaluation and went ahead with the cancellation. Was then offered to transfer to a fee free card...

    Qatar Classic Rewards Questions

Similar question, can I book a QR flight with Velocity Points and use Oneworld benefits as a Qantas Platinum (for example F Lounge in SYD/MEL) ? Looks like the flights book on QR flight numbers and not VA Codeshares so shouldn't be an issue. Has anyone done this?

How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

Yes it's frustrating. My Gold colleagues had various experiences though, upgraded to Exec Floor but no lounge access, full breakfast for free downstairs (well, who is checking that anyways) etc. I tried to have breakfast downstairs a few times over the past months and was always quoted $10...

How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

Update on the breakfast situation for Diamonds at the Adelaide Hilton: Breakfast only free at the lounge - if you want to eat downstairs it's $10 for the full breakfast. If you're Gold you can eat downstairs for free (Continental only) or pay $10 for the full breakfast.

How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

Yeah that’s pretty much my sentiment. The hardware is just so outdated, crawling under the bed to charge your phone shouldn’t really be a thing in 2023. Combined with the general zero care attitude, the restaurant breakfast charge may have been the final nail in the coffin for me. There are...

How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

Property: Hilton Adelaide Room booked: King Deluxe King Received: King Executive Status: Diamond The usual, upgrade to executive floor but no recognition otherwise. The safe in the room still hadn’t been fixed from when I stayed 2 weeks ago and the default Hilton channel on the TV showed the...

    Rockhampton Qantas Club?

Had a similar experience this week. Checked in online, rocked up at the door and no code on my boarding pass. Knocked on the door, hung around for a while and then made my way back landside to get the code from the checkin desk. Back through security, entered the code a few times….denied. Ok...

    "Compliments of Customer Contact"

I wonder if they had an IT issue on the 4th in regards to complaints - I received a call about my complaint regarding a delayed flight on August 4th. Problem was I didn't travel that day and did not make any complaint. Made for a very strange phone call since I had no idea what they were talking...

How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

Sounded like $10 regardless - I was in a rush and the staff member seemed a bit confused herself. Anyhow, my 2 cents as mentioned before. Trying to limit the free breakfast to certain items, which is near impossible to police anyways, just feels petty. I'm spending 50+ nights in your hotel and...

How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

Property: Hilton Adelaide Room booked: King Deluxe King Received: King Executive Status: Diamond The usual, no upgrade on day of arrival when checking in online. Messaged the hotel via the app and ended up in a room on the top floor (what can I say, I like the views from up there). To my...

How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?

Property: Hilton Adelaide Room booked: King Deluxe King Received: King Executive Status: Diamond Another week at the Hilton. Booked this rather late and the only rooms available when checking in online were on the lower floors. Replied to the welcome SMS, asked for a room facing Victoria Square...

    Guaranteed reward seat - taxes

No booking fee. The agent by his own admission was doing this for the first time and I just wanted to get it done after being on the phone for over an hour. I’ll follow up.

    Guaranteed reward seat - taxes

Hi there, Couldn’t find any recent discussions - I just used my guaranteed reward seat for a domestic VA flight. Taxes for a reward seat on this route are around $30. To my surprise the call centre agent quoted me $90. I checked the e-ticket receipt and by the looks of it the ticket was...

How do Hilton treat you as an Elite?
