Wouldn't really be much of a competitive advantage if you start seeing BA, LH, AF, AY, TK, KL, etc. fly non stops to Sydney from their respective hubs with the same kind of aircraft. Considering they're going on about a 20% premium I don't see myself using it often, maybe once for the novelty...

Just visited for the first time, overall great lounge. If you're transiting or accessing the lounge after your flight, access is kinda like in MEL how you go through the QC to get to the J lounge, this however is a much shorter walk where you immediately exit the lounge into the common area...

Been in this situation far too many times, wish they'd follow BA's lead in showing the full cost of both points and taxes/fees in the search results itself.

The only time I've seen it enforced, as in check using the basket size thing, was on a flight out of CLT, 'full flight' and they were looking for 20 odd people to gate check their bags. But for the most part, it does seem to be a free for all.
