"... we'll shortly announce a major investment to improve our Frequent Flyer program"

I am WP and reached LTG last July and received a refund for residual QC membership. Nevertheless, the dashboard shows that my QC membership continues until February 2026.

Double Status - Double Points from late 2023

Here’s a screenshot of an email I received on 1 September last year. As others have said, the offer was double points only, not status credits.

Mine disappeared too, but have reappeared as activated today. The previous 2 separate offers are combined.

SYD and MEL aerobridges - when will Optus/Binge be removed?

It amuses me to see so many ads for Binge at airports when their app is the least useful for flying as it doesn’t support downloading shows for offline viewing. Netflix, Stan, Disney, Paramount and Apple all have this functionality.

    Everyday Rewards Targeted Offers

Collect 1000 points for each week Collect 1000 points when you shop in-store or online at Woolworths until Sunday, 03 March. Seems a pretty good offer with no minimum spend. The T&C are a bit confusing. Is it 1000 or 2000 points each week? The offer starts 22/2. Unusual to get an offer that...

Is Citi Plus still the best option for overseas cash?

I agree that it wouldn’t normally be a problem but it is something to be aware of.

Is Citi Plus still the best option for overseas cash?

Nearly but not quite as good. ING charges $5 per overseas ATM withdrawal. If you jump through the hoops they will rebate this charge up to 5 times a month. No rebate for the sixth and subsequent withdrawals.

Qantas Business Class meals & menus

I received similar points last year (Compliments of Customer Contact) and they did count towards Points Club (as “earned on the ground”).

The initial card costs $10, but there is no charge to replace an expiring card.

    Wise debit card

I can’t remember whether it was by email or a notification in the app (or both), but I was prompted to order a new card. Part of the ordering process was to select a PIN.

USA Entry - CBP Mobile Passport control app [MPC]

I scanned my Canadian passport into the traveler section. It’s a bit quirky as it read my DOB as 12 July when it is 7 December. It also misread the passport expiry date. 🤪 Fortunately the data can be edited before being saved.

    Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

I did the same. Noticed the receipt didn’t congratulate me on meeting week 1 spend so checked the conditions and saw started tomorrow. Oh well, at least it’s only $50 spend. 🤪

Is Citi Plus still the best option for overseas cash?

I used one of these in September and it was still fee free. The branch it was attached to was closed while being renovated into a UOB branch. I assume if it hasn’t happened yet, it will be replaced by a UOB ATM.

    Wise debit card

Yes please, I can’t see a way to do it. I did get an opportunity to do it when ordering a new card (after the old card expired).

    Wise debit card

The Wise card is handy when paying for petrol at the pump in countries that use offline PIN verification such as France. With my other Australian cards the PIN is not accepted and I have to go into the shop and have card authorised before pumping. The Wise card & PIN is accepted at the pump as...

    LHR hotels?

You’re right. The daily anytime cap for zones 1-6 is £14.90 for Oyster or contactless credit/debit card. I thought the LHR surcharge was on top of the cap, but it seems I was mistaken.

    LHR hotels?

The Elizabeth line has a surcharge from LHR. The cost to central London is £12.80. If you’re returning to LHR the same day, it’s better value to buy a 1 day Zones 1-6 Travelpass for £21.50 peak or £15.20 off peak (after 9:30am). This can be used for the trips from and to LHR as well as any other...
