I found the same thing when booking with AB.
One trick I found was that I could select seats for free using the AB PNR on the Qatar airways manage my booking site. This meant that I didn't have to change FF numbers at all. Bizarre, but effective!
Spoke with Zurich just then. Turns out that they will go off whatever the car rental company classifies the vehicle as. So if you book a Focus and AVIS classifies it as a wagon, you're covered. If there's no explicit mention of the vehicle type in the rental agreement and it is somewhat...
Done some further research into this and it appears that the wording is deliberate, especially given that there is another (corporate) Zurich policy wording in circulation that states the following:
'rental vehicle' means a rented sedan, station wagon, hatchback or four–wheel–drive (4WD) and...
Hi All,
I was reading through the Citibank Signature Travel Insurance PDS prior to booking a rental car and noticed very particular wording around what constitutes a 'rental vehicle':
‘rental vehicle’ means a rented sedan and/or station wagon but not any other style of vehicle, rented from a...
Hi All. Next Feb I am flying PER-SIN in J and connecting to SIN-LHR in R. Just wondering if anyone knew if the PER check in desk is able to give you the boarding pass for the SIN-LHR leg? If so, given that there is no F out of PER, what boarding pass stock will it be printed on (I'm assuming...
Certainly is a good price if you're not worried about the type of car that takes you. I've had everything from 5 series BMWs to Suzuki swifts - hugely inconsistent (the swift was awful as a passenger) but the price is right.
My recent experiences of Uber Black seems to have been similar to the one above. I recently took one in Melbourne and felt as if it were merely an expensive cab ride. The driver had no clue where my destination was and seemed unwilling (unable?) to use the GPS in his vehicle. While the car was...
For everyone's information, I submitted a change of name certificate to VFF for their action. It was all sorted within 2 business days with a minimum of fuss, this was to the platinum email however so YMMV.
I used to do this all the time, but recently Telstra has come to their senses and allows direct debit from CC with no surcharge, same points as Paypal on a Big4 AMEX. Makes it easier for me as I often used to forget to pay on time!
I too raised this via the online contact form and my points were credited within 24 hours. Admittedly it was only ~600 points, but still, they were very quick and apologetic.
Regarding the config changes affecting seat selection, my nicely selected 1A 1C pair became 3A 3B. How does this happen? Not a fan of the current lack of transparency around these changes. Surely 1A 1C should become 1A 1B?
They certainly have - although only 2 return flights per week. I must say for this route, as well as most mining flights, I rate VA significantly above QF in soft product. Hard product on the F100 is also significantly better than the 717 (at least in terms of leg room).
