There are new seats (in economy), new bathrooms (in economy) and IFE (BYOD). Sounds refurbished to me.

    Qantas/Westjet Interline

So all worked out OK. WestJet checked the bags through to Melbourne with no requirement to collect them in LAX. Hopefully they arrive on the same flight as my wife when she lands tomorrow morning :)

    Qantas/Westjet Interline

That's my understanding as well. The only (minor) issue is that the time between flights in LAX is around 10 hours. I've done more than this in the past between an AA and QF flight without any issues but WestJet are now saying that's the problem. Hopefully it turns out to be all easy but it's...

    Qantas/Westjet Interline

Hey All, My wife is travelling back to Australia from Toronto next week and has flights on a single Qantas ooking with Westjet (YYZ to LAX - although codeshare QF flight number) and then Qantas (LAX to MEL). She's concerned that she won't be able to check her bags all the way through to...

    Welcome the Qantas 787's :)

And now the 2nd is listed. Production number 641, assembled in Everett. ETA 1/12/17. You'd imagine that once the 2nd frame is delivered and introduced into the fleet then international services would begin. Likely just domestic flights when they only have one in service.

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

Qantas have announced a resumption of Sydney-Beijing flights using the A330-200. Given this flight is around 2 hours longer than the Sydney-Hawaii flights it seems to discredit the argument that Qantas isn't refurbishing the last 2 A332 aircraft due to J toilet and catering issues.

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

Would seem increasingly likely that HNL will go A330-300 or 787-9 once those deliveries begin next year. In the meantime they'll get the unrefurbished A330-200 which will likely be returned to the leasing company when the new aircraft are available.

The IFE does have the advantage of not exploding.

EBG/L may just be going in for standard maintenance, not refurbishment.

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

A -200 or 300 refurb? If a -200 then obviously it isn't an issue to have those aircraft operating that route.

    Welcome the Qantas 787's :)

Qantas' first 787 is now listed on the production schedule over at All Things 787: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FH3Y2-vRUgojntPkCSJI5Pd-15rsJ1a0SFCRaT-iqgo/pub?single=true&gid=19&output=html Production number 615 to be assembled in Everett with a (very tentative) ETA of the 27th...

    Qantas Delays/Cancellations

I'm going to assume they are waiting on a part to arrive from Sydney. I guess that as long as they are aware of the problem (and fix) they can be reasonably confident about the resolution time. That said I've seen these kind of delays continually push out by a few hours at a time.

    Qantas Delays/Cancellations

Waiting for QF93 MEL-LAX this morning. Delay has been announced in the lounge due to engineering issue. New ETD is midday (scheduled for 9:15am).

QF Upgrades - Successes or Failures (post results)

Re: QF Upgrade Success Rate Received the text at around T-27 for a successful upgrade Y -> Y+ for tomorrow's QF93 MEL-LAX. Loads are looking pretty light so was reasonably confident of getting it. Have put it for an upgrade to J on the return QF94 in a couple of weeks. Fingers crossed that one...

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

Why would it be anything except a refurbished A330-200? Maybe a -300 during peak times.

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

Pretty much guaranteed. Assuming no other maintenance they should all be done by mid October at the latest.

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

VH-EBP hasn't flown since arriving from PER yesterday so may be straight in as a replacement for refurb. Means there are only the 2 Skybed 1 configurations that aren't refurbished or in the hanger.

QF Upgrades - Successes or Failures (post results)

Re: QF Upgrade Success Rate Which isn't an accurate measure, especially in economy where not everyone has access to select their seat without paying a fee.

    Qantas 737 Refurbishment tracker

I'm almost certain the Jetconnect fleet will get refurbished seats in Y, it makes sense from a product consistency point of view. The extra row is unlikely though. Of course Q Streaming would be possible. It's a local server and wifi network. However I don't have any problems with the...
