Travelling to London with wife and 3 children - Any advice or recommendations

Thank you all so much for the advice. I now have my flights booked for the 7th of September with Emirates, which gets us into LHR at 1840. We decided to just pay up and get a chauffeur to pick us up and not have to worry about navigating trains with 3 tired cranky children. As for...

Travelling to London with wife and 3 children - Any advice or recommendations

You are probably right regarding the car seats, just thought it would be nice to have one less expense over there if it can be checked in for free. Good luck with the Masters!

    Few urgent questions about etihad

Thanks again! yes I just managed to be connnected with someone from Etihad who understood what I was asking. They confirmed the extra 15Kg and told me that there is a City terminal where you can drop your bags off up to 24 hours in advance. I never knew about this so thought I would share it...

    Few urgent questions about etihad

Thanks for the reply. I am ticketed under Etihad so now sure if the extra baggage is the case or not? I have tried calling twice and both times I spoke to someone who was completely and utterly confused as to what I was asking... Not very helpful at all

    Few urgent questions about etihad

So had a bit more of a look and it says on the velocity website that you get an extra 15kg if you are virgin gold. Does that mean you can check in two bags of 30kg and 15kg?

Well that's good. For some reason in the Military we never got any FF points when we flew, even if it was with Qantas.

    Completely new to Emirates

I just changed over my flight details so that it has my Qantas FF on it. My understanding is that I won't get Status or FF points, but I will get access to the Lounge. Is this correct?
