    QF vs BA- J class

Thanks all, it looks like QF is winning out...I did contemplate the extra luggage allowance with BA but I really don't want to end up taking 96kg of cough with me just because I can. Also snabbu, I did look at CX but the only ones I can find around my dates are all in Y class.

Hi, I am looking at moving to the UK next year and will be booking a one way classic reward flight. Sadly my status is NB (having travelled a lot but always in the back of the plane). The options I am looking at are: Qantas SYD-MEL-DBX-LHR- 128k points, $642 payment British SYD-SIN-LHR- 133k...

    What's Your Favourite Flight?

QF108 nearly killed me earlier this year... Mind you I was in the veeeerrrrry back of the plane- I slept for 12 hours once I made it home, then was awake from 2am!

What changes would you make to the Qantas Booking site?

I am currently researching award flights for next year, and I would love to be able to select what class and flight number I want and it to give me a list of dates that is available. eg I am wanting to fly J class on QF1, and when I search for flexible dates and that class, it comes up with...

Free Free to good home: 1x QP pass

Hi Angie - congratulations on hitting the 5 year mark! I am happy to send the pass to you some time this week if you PM me your postal address. I think (having only used the pass once) that you need a QF flight number - if this applies to your Emirates flight, enjoy your stay in the "pub"!

Free Free to good home: 1x QP pass

I have 1x qantas club complimentary entry pass (the kind that are given out with credit cards) to give to a good home. It expires end of February 2014 and I won't get to use it before then. I have had a rough few weeks with putting my beloved dog down so a story that makes me smile will bolster...

Ahh this makes sense... It looks like I will need to book SYD-DBX as an ASA and DBX-CDG as a classic... Thanks for your assistance, I knew this forum would sort me out!

    Jasa: Syd-dbx-cdg

Hi all, I am starting to research one way flights to Europe in July or so next year. I currently have about 200,000 points, if I can wait until late August to book I will have around 215,000. I understand the flights I am after are not yet available, so I am looking at April next year (as the...

    EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

I was the only one of 3 cards (all same surname) to recieve the double points offer- mind you I spend much more on my card than my parents do on theirs (they split shopping across cards to maximise amount of fuel vouchers as they have many vehicles) On the other hand, I tried to take up the...

I too received the free round of cheese offer. I won't say no! i occasionally buy nice cheeses but that hasn't happened for over a month so maybe that triggered it for me? My parents (who never buy gourmet cheese) didn't get the offer.

Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

March 9, LAX baggage carousel- Liz Hayes and the 60 minutes crew, connecting through to Denver. They flew J. Each had about 7 suitcases plus carry on. The camera man apparently packs clothes last.

    EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

I had a 200 point offer for $20+ meat purchased...easily made with a pack of mince and a pack of chicken breast for a total of $20.92. What's more is I now have an extra dozen or so meals in the freezer for work lunches :-)

    Air Vanuatu

I flew with them last year and it was fine...food not overly crash hot, but for a short flight it didn't really matter too much. There was no AVOD on our plane, just a few mini tvs scattered as drop downs throughout the cabin.

    EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

I received an offer today... Double points on a spend over $30 at Woolworths. Activated and used tonight. A tidy $360 points or so once the EDR CC points are taken in to account. On another note, the Woolworths Liquor attached to my Woolies has been rebranded as BWS... I'm sure this has...

    EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

My dad received an offer for triple points over $75 (can be done in multiple purchases so long as one is over $75). Activated but I doubt he'll get it (he and my mum split their shopping to maximise fuel offers as they have a lot of vehicles to fill) Nothing for my mum or I. On a other note...

    EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

Overnight I received not one but TWO points offers- 250 points for $25 of meat at woolies and 200 points for $30 of back to school at big w. I don't "need" either but have activated both and will probably end up getting them both as a way to show woolworths that my spend is greater when they...
