My Amex concierge tells me some AU travellers are getting Swiss Covid Certificates which are then recognised when entering EU countries where AU certificates may not be recognised. There is a requirement to show proof of your Swiss accommodation booking when applying but this can be cancelled...

EK is closing its First cabin into ADL next month. That kills the only direct F service into Europe for Adelaide flyers. One option is to downgrade to J of course but another solution is to go out through Melbourne and stay in F. Any thoughts on the best airline for schedule allowing for an ADL...

Actually, flying F on EK out of or into Adelaide as I sometimes do, you usually get an F comfort seat or three for free as the cabin is usually lightly loaded. I sometimes ask the attendant to make up the bed opposite if it is free.

Hi all. I'm 790 status credits short of renewing my P1 status with 2 months to go. I have a return F trip to LHR coming up in a fortnight. Will that do it? Does it help that I booked and paid for two more F tickets on the same flights? Also, I usually ring the main phone number with any issues...

I’m P1 thanks to code sharing on EK at every opportunity. Good intell that the QF lounge rabble is normal at peak times at LAX though. I’m used to this in domestic Qantas Club but it was a novelty for me in an F lounge.

The manager was at the front desk, dealing with the many unhappy guests. I told him as a P1 it was the worst lounge experience i could recall. He said it was his worst experience too!
