I have 4x J MEL-SIN and SIN-AMS rewards booked via VA for June, retuning CDG-MEL booked via SQ. Booked them as soon as I could, in July last year

I wish there was a way to upgrade flights on partner airlines with velocity points. I’m flying a lot more internationally now to Asia and USA but apart from transferring points to SQ there doesn’t seem to be a way of doing it. Used to love flying the 777s in J to LAX. Oh well.

Currently in the F Lounge in Singapore. Surprisingly no access issues flying out of MEL (was even able to get a massage), and no entry issues in SIN either. Crediting to QFF on the boarding pass, just showed my digital card at each lounge.

Yep, I did that last time. They let me in the F lounge anyway but said really I need to have my Qatar FF number on the boarding pass instead of the QF one, and they were making an exception because they were quiet.

That sounds like a good strategy. I currently have my QFF number on my booking because I'm attempting a points upgrade, but I should probably switch it right before I check-in so I can get into the F lounge, then switch it back once I'm in the lounge? Does that work?

Same here, platinum extended until end of March Suits me perfectly as flying to Singapore in January with QF and have no status there!

Hi all, Looking to fly MEL-SIN on 8th, 9th or 10th of January (just in Y) and no availability is showing on any SQ flights. I understand a busy time of the year, but there are 4 flights per day, and every single seat is sold? Doesn't sound right. Any suggestions?

Personally, I enjoy both websites. If I had to choose one, of course it would be AFF. But I don't have to, so it doesn't matter. Hopefully they don't "enhance" AFF too much - it's not broken, so no need to fix.

I flew LAX-MEL in Y on the 787 last week. I'm 6'5 and to be honest, I found the seat pitch pretty decent. I've been doing a bit of flying around Asia lately and there was much better legroom than SQs 777s for example. Even when old mate in front reclined, my knees weren't touching his seat...

Personally I wouldn’t class a 90 minute wait for checked bags as a positive experience, but each to their own!
