The Delta Sky Club in the F terminal at Atlanta was fantastic for a US lounge. Great F & B options, lots of seating and pleasant staff. I believe this terminal is mainly used for international flights, although ours was to Las Vegas.
Also agree with posts about AKL Strata lounge.
Had breakfast there yesterday and we used the lounge. I prefer the restaurant purely because the range is better. Unfortunately, yesterday the queue to get in to the restaurant was really long and they are so slow to process guests, so we used the Club Sofitel. That was quite disappointing ...
Perhaps doing something about the complimentary upgrades from flexi. Currently they don’t represent much value. Usually the difference in flexi fare vs business fare is minimal, on domestic anyway. The last time I redeemed them was when you could use them from a choice fare.
I've also noticed this on OOL-MEL and BNE-CNS flights. Bit of a nuisance if there are two travelling. Do you upgrade one from economy and just buy a business fare for the other pax? I did this for a OOL-MEL flight to ensure we were both in J. Or do you chance it by buying two economy and...
Shame it wasn’t worth it. Service was indifferent, offhanded and bordering on disinterested. Complete opposite of flight down to MEL. Should’ve saved $250 and stayed in row 3.
Normally so, however my partner was given a toastie from the BOB menu. He couldn’t eat either option. Regardless I felt guilty as I know it’s against policy, and offered to pay but they wouldn’t have it. Don’t know if being WP made a difference.
We based ourselves in Tokyo for 5 nights and did day trips from there, full day city tour (used to be called Dynamic Tokyo Tour), trip up to Nikko and another to Mt Fuji and Hakone. From Tokyo we then went straight through to Nagoya. Kanazawa is worth a visit for the Kenrokuen Gardens and...
Yep, not a seat to be had on December 23 for the 11.45am to AKL. Didn’t help that the 9.45 was delayed by 1.5 hours. Resembled a zoo, did a circuit and straight out the door again. Ended up at The House with Priority Pass.
Sounds like our QF147 SYD to AKL except it was an A330. PDB offered plus top up. Then nothing for 50 minutes. Everything on one tray, no entree, only two choices (pork fillet or lamb salad), boxed dessert and a slab of chocolate. Frankly it looked like an economy meal on any other airline...
Thank you, that is exactly correct, although they only fell into the black hole recently. Up to mid November it was still telling me I had re-qualified for platinum.
I wish I had taken a screen shot at the time that it said I had requalified. I've called them twice already and all they say is what the computer tells them without having a proper look into the history. They can't seem to get their head around the difference between the total status credits...
Yes it says 27th, which is technically incorrect. I assume it was because of the Christmas break. it has not been an issue until now as my status balance always agreed to my own spreadsheet. I even reconstructed all of the 2021 earn and confirmed that 1,020 status was earned by 24 December...
But to be clear, I had requalified by September 2022 (803 earned), and my status activity confirmed this, with the message ‘great work, you will requalify for platinum’. Now my status tally tells me I need 37 more status credits to requalify.
My original review date was 27 December, and this is where I believe the problem lies. Even though I qualified by 24.12.2021 nothing was processed until 27.12.2021. Flights then taken on 27 December, exactly 40 status credits, have now not counted toward requalification
Yes I did requalify in September 2022 but now my account says I only have 763 status credits which is 37 short. (I did have 803, earned between 27 December 2021 and now). My velocity account confirmed I had requalified by september, but now I haven’t.
