First time to the US - comments on itinerary

You have lots of advice already, and interesting you have the full spectrum from 'I hate LA' "Disney is boring' to those that love both. Have travelled to the US over 10 times, and spent 6 weeks there this past december. Did LA, Phoenix, Texas, NY, and Florida. One thing we realised once...

USA with kids - advice please!

Don't mean to be negative on the advice given on this website, but alot of the previous advice appears to be from people that either haven't travelled to the US and definetly haven't travelled with kids your age. I hope you are also getting advice from tripadvisor and such other sites and not...

Million Altitude Rewards Points - Best Options

Thanks for the replies. I like the idea of the singapore option I will have to do some research into their frequent flyers. The points have been acrued over many years, and I cannot see there being many other better credit card options, not a fan of Qantas so I steer clear of any card linked...

Million Altitude Rewards Points - Best Options

Hi. We should have around 1 million altitude points which we can convert to around 6700 AirPoints, or 500,000 with Singapore, V or Malaysian. We fly mainly to the USA hence we usually fly AirNZ but wondering if the experts here can advise if we are better of converting to them to one of the...

Air NZ Premium Economy - worth $1000

Yes, I think you are right on IMPD, what you say makes sense. if it was $4000 for business then it would be worth it. Appreciate everyone's input, it really helps to discuss with people who know a bit about travel.

Air NZ Premium Economy - worth $1000

THanks for the replies. I understand that it is a personal thing, $4000 is a bit of money, well for me, and we would survive without it. So I am juggling the competing issues in my mind at the moment. I did save $1500 on the original booking so i am kind of swaying towards going for Premium. I...

Air NZ Premium Economy - worth $1000

Hi. Not sure if this is the right place for this question. But I would like to know if anyone has travelled Premium Economy on Air NZ to the USA? Star Alliance /Air NZ Lounge

thanks for that. The united one looks interesting. The priority club also gives you all the united lounges but not the reciprical rights to Star Alliance clubs. Would the united spouse membership include children ?? It would make it alot easier if there was one that covered all Star Alliance.

Air NZ/ Star Alliance Club Membership

Hi. Is there any way to get access to these clubs without flying Business Class? I have seen the priority club but it only has access to United in melbourne. We don't fly that regularly but with two kids, I would be happy to pay for access to the clubs while we transit or wait around the...

QFF programme changes - AGAIN! Can't be good news?

WOW For me the timing is good as I was considering transferring 200,000 Amex points to either Qantas or Air NZ. Now it's a no brainer. At least with AirNZ you can pick the flight and pay with points. I think the more people that avoid QF the better. I reckon you cash your points asap before...

200,000 Points. Who would you choose?

If you had 200,000 points to put into any airline which would it be? And why? The forums always point to QF but I can's see why Air NZ wouldn't be better?? Especially since you can pick when to fly. WHat do the forum experts think??
