Citibank Signature 90k QFF bonus, $4k spend in 90 days, $0 first yr annual fee, exp 30 June 2019

So I'm right in thinking there's no exclusion even for existing card holders? I applied for the Qantas Premier in March and intend on keeping this for a while because of the 1 for 1 on a MC.

Upto 120,000 QFF for $0 Fee on Westpac Black Altitude

Log in to Westpac internet banking and you can cancel the Mastercard from there. I cancelled my Mastercard right after receiving the points and am keeping the Amex until right before the anniversary date.

    Qantas Premier Credit Card

Applied on the weekend. Just received a call where I basically had to confirm my application form details over the phone and was told I would receive an outcome in the next 3-5 business day. Five minutes later received an email to inform me that my application has been approved. Easy peasy.

    Qantas Premier Credit Card

Was a little hesitant to apply given people have been getting rejected but bit the bullet this morning anyway. Have never applied for Citi and have one other open card. Closed two at the end of December and credit rating is looking very good. Guess we'll see.

Upto 120,000 QFF for $0 Fee on Westpac Black Altitude

On my MC I hit the spend in the 2nd month and got the points in the third statement. My wife's MC we hit it first week and received points first statement. Amex came through the same month we hit the spend on both of our Amex cards.

Upto 120,000 QFF for $0 Fee on Westpac Black Altitude

I reached the Westpac Mastercard spend just before the end of the 2nd month and received the points as part of my 3rd statement. Had my wife on my card as a supplementary cardholder and removed her again a few weeks after hitting the spend. Last week applied for the cards for my wife herself...

Upto 120,000 QFF for $0 Fee on Westpac Black Altitude

I wouldn't count on it. I'm now six week post spend on the Westpac and still nothing. Most people tend to be waiting a while. Amex on the other hand comes through almost instantly.

Upto 120,000 QFF for $0 Fee on Westpac Black Altitude

Just checked my wife's credit score and it was in the 800's so should be all good. Mortgage is pretty small as well.

Upto 120,000 QFF for $0 Fee on Westpac Black Altitude

How did you distribute monthly expenses on her application? Just 50/50 with you for mortgage etc etc or larger proportion of the spend to you? We also have a credit card that comes for free with our mortgage that's under both of our names so that's additional credit against her name. May just...

Upto 120,000 QFF for $0 Fee on Westpac Black Altitude

Getting off topic now but the ANZ black monthly limit is $7500. Back to Westpac, I see there is no required minimum income but did see an article mentioned near the start of this thread with recommended incomes. What incomes have people applied for these cards with? My wife works part time and...

Upto 120,000 QFF for $0 Fee on Westpac Black Altitude

My ANZ Black earns 1 point per dollar compared to the 0.75 point per dollar so I have no use for it. The Amex gets used still with 1.25 point per dollar where it can be used.

Upto 120,000 QFF for $0 Fee on Westpac Black Altitude

Still waiting for the Westpac points to hit my account. Reached it last month so I'm sure it'll be another couple of months before I can cancel then.

Upto 120,000 QFF for $0 Fee on Westpac Black Altitude

Is it possible to only cancel the Westpac card once the spend has been hit and keep the Amex, or do you have to cancel both at the same time? The points per dollar isn't great on the Mastercard so I won't be using it anyway.

I've got plenty of "friends". Nothing they can do about it really..

Only reason I'm keen on the lounge passes is because I can flog them off on Gumtree for $$. Don't need them myself for when I fly. Nice little bonus on top of a fee free card

Thanks. Did that yesterday after realising it wasn't done as part of the sign up process.

Seat selections on Qantas are free besides the exit row though. I'll check out the vouchers. I remember a few years ago it was possible to buy points down to $10 or $20 which meant an eligible spend. Is that still the case?

Travelling with an infant so that wouldn't be allowed unfortunately :(

Upto 120,000 QFF for $0 Fee on Westpac Black Altitude

What's the cheapest way to get the lounge passes through spending on Qantas products and services? I already have a Qantas flight booked but can't seem to find anything I can pay for extra on that booking short of perhaps upgrading to business which costs more than the lounge passes are worth..

So my, and many people's, concerns about two credit enquiries at the same time is not a valid concern then. That's good to see. You're right in saying that Amex didn't do any checks. They also did no check on my vanilla Amex a few years back by looking at my credit report.
