How long a wait for delivery?

Just came across this thread. I, too, was badly burned by Smash Vino last year, with numerous false promises of deliveries that never eventuated and evasive communications with Tom. Quite a few angry Google reviews and from wine producers suggesting they were not paid for stock. FYI, looks like...

6 * Pommery Brut Royal Champagne NV $22.50 / bottle QF wines

I sent an email to Lisa Hudson (head of QF Wine) 10 days ago, setting out the comedy of errors, and expressing disappointment about the way everything was handled (that was before I became aware of this thread). Never got acknowledgment or a response.

FYI, a new Air NZ Triple Status Points promo has been released: Air New Zealand launches new Triple Status Points offer As with the previous promotion, this offer looks to be targetted to those who received the email, and is for residents of Australia and NZ. Also a quick update on the TSP...

    Air New Zealand FF program

Hi, Adele here (I wrote the TCM blog post linked here a few posts back).I booked CHC-AKL-ADL for next week (in line with the Touch of Gold anniversary date, I literally have a 2 day window to use the offer!), and the 'bonus' of 302 Status Points is showing up below the standard 151. This will...

    Wendouree allocations and general discussion

I've always found it amusing that Wendouree takes AMEX. Sadly, $10 wouldn't cover much of my annual buying. However, I do tend to take a trip out to the Clare during Shop Small - lots of the wineries there accept AMEX, and it comes in handy when buying up single bottles during cellar door visits.

Trip report: Qantas A380 First Class - SYD to SIN

Yep, bedding was supremely comfortable. Wine list and service was a bit of a disappointment, but then, I've been spoiled by EK and SQ F.

Trip report: Qantas A380 First Class - SYD to SIN

Last weekend, I took advantage of the opportunity to fly the Qantas A380 first class suite from SYD - SIN for just 90,000 Qantas points. Below are a few pics from my trip, the full review can be found at: Qantas A380 First Class Review: Sydney to Singapore

Review of the New Singapore Airlines A380 Suite

Suite 2F was great - just a shame there was someone in 1F (so no possibility of trying out the double bed)

Review of the New Singapore Airlines A380 Suite

Hi everyone I've recently published a review of the new Singapore Airlines A380 suite, which I was fortunate to fly a couple of days ago (on points, of course!). From the vintage Krug, to the Lalique bed linens and the sheer amount of space in my personal suite, I was absolutely mindblown by...

Referrals to different card type - does it work?

As mentioned above, eligible card members can only refer people to cards within the same card 'family'. However, AMEX have also recently expanded some of the card families - i.e. the Explorer now allows referrals to the Platinum Edge and Platinum Charge, whereas a few months back you could only...

AMEX 'Refer a Friend' - You can now refer multiple cards

Hi, Adele from The Champagne Mile blog here. I partner with AMEX to promote their range of rewards cards. AMEX have kickstarted a campaign to generate card member awareness in their 'Refer a Friend' Program, which most AFF members are no doubt familiar with! We've written a post about the...

Air NZ Dreamliner - Inaugural flight from ADL-AKL (Business Premier class)

I had the pleasure of flying from ADL-AKL on the Air NZ Dreamliner for the inaugural flight on Thursday, 26th October. While Air NZ appears to be very stingy at releasing award seats, I was lucky enough to nab a couple of J seats for the inaugural flight via Krisflyer after searching United (a...

Luxury night in the Desert (Al Maha, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa)

Hi all I recently took the plunge and redeemed an eye watering 39k Starpoints on one night at Al Maha. From the private infinity pool, to camel trekking and a champagne sunset, I had a wonderful time. If you're interested in reading about it, you can access a comprehensive review with photos...

    Wendouree allocations and general discussion

As usual, Dr Ralph, we will have to agree to disagree. Once any wine is consumed, it's gone forever ;) A number of recent Wendouree vintages have presented as quite approachable young. Hence I don't agree with the blanket "cellar them for 20 years and only then take a look" approach to the...

I received mine also. Red crayon (have been for past 3 years). Usually over order and get more than I was expecting. Let's hope this year is no different.
