Has anybody had success getting international upgrades from the waitlist service. I've tried several times Business to First and Economy to business but no luck.

Just back from a trip to New York (Business) and the food on the flight SYD-LAX with Qantas was some of the worst I ever been served in any class. If I was Neil Perry I'd be embarrased to have my name associated with it. Is it happening with all airlines or is Qantas going through a bad patch
