I have a domestic First (business) trip with AA purchased as a Qantas classic reward. I purchased the tickets (Platinum) for myself and wife (Gold) are we entitled to any free checked baggage?

Later in the year my wife and I are travelling BNE - SYD (QF No. & metal) then same day, SYD - NAN (QF No. FJ metal). I am assuming, as Platinum, I will be able to guest my wife into the Syd First lounge.

I believe this will ultimately devalue complimentary passes. Guess who is going to be turned away as the lounge begins to fill, the complimentary pass holder or the person who has paid? I would be a bit embarrassed if I were to give a friend or relative a pass only for them to be denied whilst...

Am travelling BNE - SYD on Qantas, SYD - NAN on Fiji Airways next year. The flights are on the one PNR. Can someone tell me whether my baggage will be transferred from the Qantas flight to the Fiji Airways flight or will I have to collect it in SYD?

if I book BNE SYD NAN return flying QF metal on the domestic legs and QF ticket but FJ metal on the international legs, would I receive double status credits for the domestic sectors if I book and fly during the promotion period?

It’s the actions behind the words that are important. For example, releasing millions of reward seats on flights that are traditionally not full still meet the words but not the expectation.

If indeed Qantas took into account Perceived Customer Value when determining the order of upgrades, do you think that if two customers spent generally the same amount of money on flights but one flew only Y and the other only J and F, the PCVs would be the same or different?

You would think, but you would be surprised how often they go US often requiring owners/pax to go commercial at short notice and often mid trip.

I’ve had a few dealings lately with the Premium Call centre and I must say a few times I have been diverted to the Fiji call centre who were also very helpful and quite knowledgeable.
