the same glitch happened to me recently, the first pass renewed in about 2 hours despite being well under the data usage, but it was fine after that (and each pass appeared to have a 24hr life, not based on AEST).

That happened to me a couple of months ago - the call centre said there’s a system glitch and booked it for me without charge / additional points. I’m not sure if it would have corrected itself ever.
