I’ve had a domestic flight change before my international one. BNE-SYD now due to land at 17:45 with SYD-YVR scheduled to depart at 20:30 It feels too close to me, but am I just nervous / overreacting? What would be your comfort gap to transit from a domestic flight to international one?

I called Qantas - my husband and daughter have been allocated seats next to each other. They were unable to allocate myself and my son at all and said it was because the Airport still had control of the flight? He apologised and said to just keep trying to allocate seats in the lead up to travel.

Interesting! When I booked I was able to choose seats straight away, I only noticed last night that they had all been changed so we were in all different areas / rows. Good to know :)

I was able to book Emirates Rome - Singpore tickets not a long ago just using the Multicity tool. You could try being flexible with departure / arrival city, or even only looking part way (e.g. stopping in Asia?)
