I've been able to go through the BA website to get the Sabre booking reference. Just try to change your seat and it prompts you.

    Aircraft used on old flights

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! Two domestic flights MEL-BNE in Jan 2005, I'd assume some 737 variant, but I think -300/-400/-800 were all in service at the time.

    Aircraft used on old flights

Aircraft type - I've been able to piece together some of it from old news articles etc, but it's patchy at best so far.

    Aircraft used on old flights

I've been completing my flight log and I'm trying to find the aircraft that was used on some old flights. Does anyone have thoughts on particular resources I should use? In particular, looking for Cathay / Singapore / Qantas data between 1995-2006.

Qantas extends status extensions until end June 2023 (previously December 2022)

These offers state they're for members "who reside in Australia or New Zealand". Does anyone know what has happened in the past for QFFs outside of A/NZ?

    Ask The Pilot

BA and VS did a symbolic parallel takeoff for the reopening of US borders the other day - are there any special procedures that the pilots / ATC needed to have in mind for this?

Taking 87 year old Father into Sydney's & LAX's First Lounges

To add another anecdote - I've had luck as a WP guesting both my parents into the MEL F lounge by asking nicely air-side. Flying QF Y to New Zealand at the time.

Did Qantas just cancel all MEL-SYD morning flights in Aug?

I was originally booked on a 7am flight mid August... but got notification that it's been cancelled. Hopped online and I see no flights from MEL to SYD before 2pm on any day in the second week of August. Are they fully booked or has Qantas just cancelled all morning flights from MEL to SYD? If...

Thanks for all the suggestions - I'll look into luggage storage at SYD (or just drag them with me, given I have to do it on the other side anyway...)

Maximum time between flights for QF-AA baggage interline

MEL-SYD (revenue) SYD-LAX (on AA, booked using QF points) The SYD-LAX leg is Monday morning - so I'm trying to work out whether I can fly in from MEL on Saturday/Sunday without having to drag my bags around. Thanks - looks like my ideal plan isn't possible!

Maximum time between flights for QF-AA baggage interline

I currently have a AA award ticket booked (using QF points), but need to book a separate QF flight to position for the start of that trip. My intention is to pay for a revenue QF flight and hope that the check-in agents are aware of QF's exception on interlining award/revenue mixed trips. How...

WP here. I was able to being a non-flying guest into the SYD J lounge last Sunday, but was explicitly told they were doing me a favour and not to expect it going forward.

I’ve got a relative who is returning to Australia this coming week - does anyone know how the quarantine period is calculated? Is day of arrival considered Day 1 or Day 0? I need to sort out connecting flights home for them... thanks!

Qantas to Cut to 90% of International Capacity to end of May at least

Just got off QF12 from JFK - the FAs on onboard said they just got word that our flight will be Qantas’ second last flight out of JFK. Assume this is news since I was originally booked on Saturday’s QF12...

Watches for frequent travel and half time zones

Two options to change timezone: Use the crown to flick across to the right timezone indicated on the bezel (like the Citizen) - this is actually pretty handy, takes <5 seconds to get the seconds hand to the right timezone, click the crown back in and go. The hands then spin around as required...

Watches for frequent travel and half time zones

I have an Astron - works really well to change timezones and does what it says on the box without fuss. I don't have the dual timezone version though, mine is the chronograph version. Happy to answer any questions on the watch!

    Question re transit in Auckland

Qantas should provide you with both boarding passes and through-check your bags to your final destination - you will likely need to specifically ask at check-in for this. Qantas' policy is that QF-QF and QF-EK can be through-checked even if on separate PNRs. The same does not apply to oneworld...
