    Yes, you can change both the SSID and the Network Key password. Tricky to get to but it is there.

    Yes it is Telstra locked - am just setting mine up now and as per documentation " Your Wi-Fi modem is programmed to operate only on the Telstra network, you may need to pay and unlocking fee to use it on other networks."
